Four month recap

Ok we have made a great deal of progress in the four months we have owned this lake house. Four months! Seems so much longer than that!

In that time we have:

-removed eight dumpsters of accumulated trash, garbage and debris.
-rebuilt one deck and built another.
-built steps for front and back
-painted high peaked area above porch
-replaced rotted rim joists on back side of house near door.
-using cabinets left by previous owner, installed cabinets in back room.
-removed ceiling fans and light fixtures
-reassembled, inspected and tested wood stove
-laid down flagstone pathway in courtyard
-tore down sagging wood fence
-replaced three doors and three windows.
-cleared out brush and trees, removed piles of rotting building materials, laid in driveways and a walkway.
- replaced plumbing burst by past winter freezes, installed a new water tank and pump, and replaced a toilet designed for midgets with a mighty throne.
-nearly replaced all siding
- repaired and replaced an extensive area of sheathing and shingles
- jacked up the house and installed end supports.
- began the process of replacing interior flooring
- installed insulation in the cavity between the metal and wooden roofs.
- installed a completely new electrical 200 mp panel and wiring throughout the house.
- pulled down all ceilings and insulation to cln out raccoon poop.

There is a lot more I am sure and I will add them as I think of each. Considering deb and I work full time, my treatment for cancer and the fact that we are not professional builders or remodelers, I think we have done an incredible amount of work and done it well.
