Lake Lafayette, Plat A, Lot 155, Now Owned by Deb and Dave Rimmer

We closed on the property on Friday and it will be recorded on Tuesday.  Some memorable moments in the process at the title company:

     - Susan (seller) stopping on the way to the meeting, in conversation with Deb on the phone, stopping to pick up a hitchhiker who tells her he was just released from county prison...

     -  Showing a pic of the house to the title agent.

     - Susan's face searching ours for agreement to change the price with asked if she was going forward wit hthe origiinal agreement for 12k, "I guess so, yes, lets do it".

     - Susan paying arrears for land owners dues in excess of $1800 (negotiated down from something like $2800.).  Dues are $60 per year per lot....

     - Not telling her Deb successfully negotiated us out of the $2000 levy for a water connection to the new system by appealing to the entire city council.  We ended up paying only $100.

We probably lost the other property which is fine by us. Not being able to build on it took all the interest we had in it away.  Susan is to go to the city council on Tuesday to appeal the city code.
