Spent most of the day yesterday attempting to wire the kitchen outlets and lights. Actually had a lot of fun placing the outlet and switch boxes, drilling and running wire, and connecting everything. Or I had fun until it was time to throw the main power switch and nothing I did worked.
I am pretty sure my wiring and design are workable, although I am going to take the lights and switches out of the load (protected) side of the GFI and tie them into the line side.
Maybe I didnt put the line ground on the gfi and used one of the outlet grounds instead? Not sure if that woudl do it. Maybe not connecting the range hood black and white wire in the junction box?
