Mike, Andrew and I are building a couch

At this point the only really significant thing lacking at the lake
house is a couch. Well, we have couches, but nothing that a
self-respecting card carrying membe of the male race would admit
sitting in. We need a MAN couch.

A MAN couch is one large enough to hold you, your beverage of choice,
your dog, a tub of popcorn, Sunday paper and your best lady - and
still have room for your buddies.

Large enough a man can stretch back, unbutton his pants and scratch
comfortably without gettng all scrunched up. Sturdy enough to be
jumped on, flopped on, and able to take the pound of mighty man fists
when the game goes the wrong way.

We need such a couch.

So we are going to buld one. Using landscape timpers and dimentional
lumber, this couch will embody all of what was said before. We expect
it to be about 10 feet long, 4 feet wide and 5 feet high. We figure
its grosss weight just a shade under the cargo carrying weight of a
Ford 150 pickup - or about 1500 pounds.

The pic is of our preliminary design.
