One of the tasks at hand is supporting the side deck and ultimately the roof of our house. The I-beams that run along the length of the house meet up at the very end of the house and spans the width of the side deck. Last week Jason dug two 3ft deep holes on either end of the deck to create support areas for the braces.
Today we decided to use a couple of old telephone poles she just happened to have laying around to use as support beams. (Seriously who has telelphone poles in their junk piles...)
So a telephone pole probably weighs a couple hundred pounds and so I was debating our options as to how we were going to move it from one side of our house to another.
Michael to the rescue!
After surveying the poles height he gives a big heave ho and hoists the pole on his shoulder and walks it to the other side of the house. That problem solved!
