Mike is willing to commit to spending 2 - 3 consecutive days removing debris and class 1 crap out of the house and garage and to also work on the landscaping. He will try to bring a friend, Joe Porter, whom I agreed to pay $9 an hour with him.
I have tentatively agreed to this pending Boss's approval and his list of four (condensed from five - i added gas money to expenses in #3) conditions:
1) No major chores x 2 months.
2) I remove the brush on the side of THIS house.
3) Cash for expenses such as food, drink and gas.
4) He gets undisputed rights to prepare and implement "Hammock Haven"
I am putting together a task list for this operation. Hopefully Deb and I can join him and pull out all the stops and get this place in a condition where we can start to rebuild.
Tentative Task List - pending final revisions:
1) Empty out Garage so we have a base of operations
2) Clean out entire house.
3) Remove ceiling tiles and insulation
4) Remove debris, surplus building materials and other weird ass objects from around and under the house.
5) Mow, trim and otherwise landscape the lawn all around the house.
Power should be installed tomorrow and I will be bringing down extension cords, lights and the small fridge.
I need to call the dumpster man and arrange delivery.
Locate a septic inspector and arrange an inspection.
Procure chain saw and burn barrels
