Gravel ordered - waiting for final confirmation from bobcat excavator. Gravel guy says its 12 bucks a ton for a full load but 8 bucks a ton plus 70 bucks for delivery for anything less than a full load. So 10 tons say would cost $150 which of course is nearly twice as much.
He did confirm that 4 inches depth is normal so that calc looks good.
